Thank you for many wonderful years!

Prospect Riding Center was a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization offering therapeutic horseback riding on 10 beautiful acres of ranch land in Myakka City, Florida. After serving our community for many years we closed doors in early 2024.

Our heartfelt thanks to our local community for their support. With their help we changed many lives for young people throughout the community. We are so lucky to have done such important work and we loved every minute of it.

We will dearly miss all our friends, many of which feel more like family now. Our herd has moved on to the next chapter of their lives, some separately, some together. All future homes have been well thought out and vetted to ensure that they are the right fit for our friends.

Our Girl Scout Troop came out this past weekend and had an amazing time! Ms. Susan, the staff and volunteers were all so patient and kind with our girls. While there, the girls learned how to stay safe around the horses, how to properly ride, steer and command the horses, went on a 30 minute trail ride and were even able to help groom and feed the biggest of the big to the smallest of the small. Perfect weather, beautiful horses and awesome people … doesn’t get much better than that!
